TXT
Let your fingers do the talking
When you can't talk or you just want to say a few words, you can send and receive written messages via your mobile. It's an easy, cheap and very quick way to communicate.
How do I do it?
Every mobile is different so for detailed instructions, you'll need to read your mobile user manual.
But basically, just go to Messages, write your message on your mobile phone keypad, then send it to mobile phones in Australia. You can also send TXT overseas provided Vodafone has a TXT agreement with the country you are sending TXT to.
Writing your message
You use your keypad to type a message. Instead of numbers, letters appear.
For example, if you want to write the word 'and', you press 2 once on your keypad to get 'a', then press 6 twice to get 'n' - which is the second letter you see on the 6 button. Then press 3 once to get the 'd'. You'll be slow at first, but with a bit of practice, TXTing will become second nature.
It's your personal access to your account and online services, designed just for you.
